Band

Formed in Edmonton, Alberta, The Endless navigates the sonic realms of post-metal instrumentals, drawing inspiration from artists such as Russian Circles, Pelican, Humanfly, Deafheaven, Amenra, Mastodon, Messa, ISIS (the band), and Tool. Their genre-defying approach encapsulates the raw intensity of metal with the atmospheric depth of post-rock, crafting immersive musical landscapes devoid of lyrical constraints.

In 2017, Jarred Muir and Terry Palmer began developing the foundation for several songs appearing on the album. Eddy Keyes joined and helped transform the initial ideas into complete songs. After their first shows in 2019 and early 2020, the pandemic-induced hiatus provided a pivotal opportunity for introspection. The band dismantled and reconstructed their material, refining their sound into a tighter, more cohesive entity.

The band underwent changes in mid-2022, welcoming bassist James Palmer into the group. This revitalization marked a pivotal phase as they engaged in extensive pre-production and returned to the stage in July 2023, delivering a sold-out performance showcasing their refined delivery. Subsequently, they ventured into the studio, recording at the Physics Lab, and mastering at the Twilight Living Room through the fall of 2023.

The band's journey is fueled by the joy of crafting intricate musical pieces, allowing ideas to transform into sprawling epics that transcend their origins.

Their debut album featuring five songs, totaling 40 minutes, was released on January 23, 2024. Along with a sold out Album release party at the Aviary in Edmonton, The Endless placed #24 on the January 2024 Doom Charts and received numerous positive reviews.
